The Scientific Council

The Scientific Council is the Institute's initiating, consultative and advisory body in respect of all questions concerning its activities, and particularly activities relating to science, development, and implementation of research results. As one of not numerous in Poland scientific councils of industrial institutes it holds full academic authorizations to grant the degree of doctor and doctor habil., and to apply for the title of professor in mining (since 1961) and environmental engineering (since 1998). Within this sope it creates own scientific staff as well as in favour of other research units, universities, and the industry.
