On 25 November 2015 the Central Mining Institute hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia

Globally, coal is still a basic source of energy for economic and social development of many countries of the modern world, especially for rapidly developing economies of Asian countries, such as China, India or Indonesia, which do not intend to limit the extraction and use of coal, and aim at increasing its production. Cooperation with these economies is a challenge for Polish companies and institutions.

The main focus of the talks were the issues of clean coal technologies. The guests also visited the Centre for Clean Coal Technologies. Nowadays, research on clean coal technologies are the basis for zero-emission power generation from fossil fuels, one of the most important subjects in the research world. In this regard, the Institute has highly qualified scientific staff as well as specialist, accredited laboratories, experimental polygons and a modern apparatus and equipment base. The Centre of Clean Coal Technologies was highly appreciated by the visitors.
