Training course for Iranian mining specialists concerning rock mass methane drainage planning

From the 13th to the 17th of February, the Central Mining Institute was visited by a delegation of representatives of the Iranian mining company Tabas Coal Mines Complex. The employees of the Parvadeh mine in the Khorasan province in Iran have undergone a training course at GIG on the subject of rock mass methane drainage project planning.

Such specialist courses are conducted by the GIG Training and Information Centre for employees of ventilation departments in hard coal mines. Their aim is to familiarise the participants with current knowledge concerning the principles of methane drainage planning when conducting dynamic mining activities. The classes are conducted by experts with rich teaching experience and knowledge regarding the elimination of natural hazards, as well as the ventilation and methane drainage of mines, which was met with appreciation by our partners from Iran.
