Description of the action:

The goals of the ProVAM project are:

  • development of assumptions and guidelines for the utilization of methane from ventilation air (VAM) through analysis and research of air parameters from European hard coal mines, multi-criteria forecast of CH4 emissions in the process of transformation of the coal mining sector, identification of limitations and determination of conditions for the development of VAM reduction installations and analysis of possibilities adaptation of available VAM solutions,
  • selection of appropriate and development of dedicated ventilation methane utilization technology based on laboratory tests and economic analysis of its application,
  • development of a model and simulation of the installation's operation, and then research of the technology in the conditions of KD "Barbara", which will enable the creation of a concept for its use in hard coal mines.
