The Seventh International Conference on Clean Coal Technologies

The Seventh International Conference on Clean Coal Technologies, CCT2015, takes place on 17- 21 May 2015 in Kraków, Poland.

The call for papers opens on 1 September 2014 and registration will be possible from January 2014.
Abstracts must be submitted through the conference website, www.CCT2015.org

Coal is the world’s primary source of electricity and is projected to remain so for decades to come, with growth strongly driven by the need to improve energy access in the developing world. However, growing concerns over the environmental impact of fossil fuel combustion present an equally pressing need for this energy resource to be exploited as cleanly and efficiently as possible. The sharp growth in global coal power in the last ten years has been accompanied by significant development of new
technologies to meet this challenge.

Organised by the IEA Clean Coal Centre and the Central Mining Institute of Poland (Główny Instytut Górnictwa), CCT2015 is a leading international forum for the showcasing and discussion of all aspects of clean coal technology, including:
• high efficiency, low emissions plant
• developments in carbon capture
• air pollution control
• low rank coal utilisation

The four-day event will take place at the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University in the heart of Kraków, followed by a visit to the world’s first supercritical circulating fluidised bed boiler at Łagisza power plant. With strong international participation from both the coal power industry and research institutes, the conference is an ideal platform for networking within the global coal research community.

The IEA Clean Coal Centre and Główny Instytut Górnictwa are pleased to invite you to attend CCT2015. Please consult the conference website www.CCT2015.org for further announcements
