DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF THE INSTITUTE results from the mission which is creating friendly relations HUMAN-INDUSTRY-ENVIRONMENT
The basic strategic goal of the Institute is:
- gaining the leading scientific position in European Research Space through active part in European research projects and scientific networks
- possessing of the A category of scientific unit
- continuation of the activity in traditional research areas as mining and environment protection as well as geoengineering, keeping the position of the world leader in the range of the problems of work safety in mining solution
- initiation and realization of innovative research topics, especially in the sphere of gaining and processing of mineral resources and constant improvement of research methods
- performance of the function of regional consultancy institute for state and local Silesian voivodship government
